MWS:Gateway Account

NOTE NOTE We no longer provide the Raccoon gateway service, so you either must use the service provided by http://mymobilesite.net or setup a gateway of your own.

NOTE

• The gateway service of Raccoon is still running, but new accounts are not created without a very good reason. If you want to access your mobile web-server from the Internet, you really should use the connectivity provided by MWS.

Unless you setup a gateway of your own (also downloadable from SourceForge) you need to get an account on our gateway. Simply send a mail with the subject Raccoon Account and we will create one for you.

The URL of your mobsite will be like http://xyz.at.openlaboratory.net where xyz is generated from your email-address, unless you explicitly specify what you would like it to be.

Please tell us your affiliation and the intended use. The more specific you are the better, but something as simple as "sounds cool, I just want to check it out" is just fine. This is fully optional but is interesting to us.

• We cannot support an unlimited number of users, so if this service gets immensely popular we may at some point have to decline a request for an account.
• The system is primarily for demonstration purposes, so do not expect 24/7 uptime and 100% reliability. We will do our best to keep the system up and running but cannot provide any guarantees.
