MWS:Installation
From OpenSource
NOTE The following instructions don't apply as such for the latest version, i.e., 0.11.0. The primary difference is that the settings have now been distributed under different tabs. So, the connectivity settings are now found under the tab [Connector] and not from the main view. The instructions will be updated.

Upgrading from an older version?
- S60 3rd Edition
Download the raccoon zip-file from SourceForge and install the enclosed sis-file.
The sis-file contains the Raccoon binaries, the Apache configuration files and some default website content. You need to have both Open-C and Python for S60 installed on the device.
The sis-file has been signed with a so-called self-signed certificate. That has the following implications:
- You have to confirm a couple of times that you really want to have the software installed.
- There are restrictions on what kind of functionality a Python/PSP script can access. For instance, it is not possible to access location information.
Settings
Start Raccoon, invoke Options->Settings and enter your Identifier and Password.
Running
Invoke Options->Start w. Connector and choose an access point that you use for browsing the Internet. If everything starts ok, you can now browse to your mobile phone using any regular web browser.
NOTE Often you may be able to browse the Internet using an access point with "WAP" in its name, but that access point is not likely to work with Raccoon. Look for an access point whose name contains "Internet".
If you do not have a gateway account yet and simply want to check out the system, start using Start w/o Connector and browse to 127.0.0.1 using the browser on your phone. Note that it requires a fair amount of RAM and thus may not succeed on all phone models.
Check here for a description all options.

Uninstalling
Start the application manager and uninstall Raccoon Bundle. That will uninstall all individual components of Raccoon. Note that if Python was installed as a part of the Raccoon installation, then it will be uninstalled as well.
Note that you may have to manually destroy the C:\Data\Apache directory in order to remove all traces of Raccoon.
